CBK Receives Applications for Master's Degree Scholarship Program

Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) Governor Dr. Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Banking Studies, announced the start of receipt of applications for Master’s Degree scholarships for Kuwaitis, for the eighth year running, as CBK continues to support projects and initiatives aiming at national capacity building. Higher qualified national cadres would in turn contribute to institutional infrastructure in the State of Kuwait to support the country’s development, he stressed.

The Master’s Degree Scholarship Program was developed and is running successfully for the eighth consecutive year within the Kafaa’a initiative, launched by the CBK in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks and managed by the Institute of Banking Studies. The program is a manifestation of CBK’s keenness on national capacity building in the banking sector, given how crucial the sector is to development of the national economy.

The Governor indicated that the program is one of the most prominent components under the Kafaa’a initiative, offering scholarships to the most prestigious international universities in the fields of finance, economics, accounting, and business administration. So far, 24 scholarships were awarded in these fields.

Applications are to be submitted from Sunday, March 13, 2022, until Thursday, June 2, 2022. Kuwaiti university graduates wishing to apply may obtain information on the conditions, controls, and the application process via the official website: https://kafaakw.org/en/Kafaa/Program/5 .
